New Celine Project
Radda in Chianti (Siena), October 17th, 2019. Imaging working in front of one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world, Tuscany, in a new factory with glass block walls designed to provide quality of life, work and products. A miracle of vision and intelligence that led to the inauguration of the Céline’s new factory, a stellar luxury brand in the LVMH Group’s portfolio.

Celine B-Q19 T Dark Grey
The project which started two years ago, with excellent architectural design work by the architect Fabio Barluzzifrom the Florence Metrooffice studio, focused on the delicate and gentle integration of the building into the magnificent Tuscany landscape; an objective achieved with the use of dark grey glass blocks manufactured by Bormioli Rocco S.A, glass blocks characterized by a unique grey coloration allowing the continuous and diverse reflections of the day’s changing weather conditions. The facade, designed to ensure excellent energy efficiency, is composed of 27.224 glass blocks that guarantee the best balance between natural light and the heat generated.
The investment has exceeded 20 million euros. The focus on sustainability (solar panels on the roof, rainwater recovery systems, LED lights) is amplified by the transparent facade covered with grey glass blocks that “confuse” building with landscape and that also help thermal insulation.
